I recently had the pleasure of photographing an engagement session at the Dallas Arboretum. This is the first session I have done at this location and it will surely not be the last. The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is a beautiful place to take engagement photos. There are so many different gardens and areas to explore, and the flowers are always in bloom. I had so much fun photographing these two. They were so natural and comfortable in front of the camera, and their love for each other was evident in every photo. Here are some tips if you are looking to have photos done at the arboretum:

  • Check the weather forecast. The Dallas Arboretum is open year-round, but the weather can vary depending on the season. If you're having your photos taken in the winter, be sure to dress warmly. If you're having your photos taken in the summer, be sure to bring sunscreen and a hat.

  • Choose your outfits wisely. The Dallas Arboretum has a variety of different gardens and landscapes, so you'll want to choose outfits that will look good in a variety of settings. You'll also want to be comfortable, since you'll be doing a lot of walking.

  • Plan your route. The Dallas Arboretum is a big place, so it's a good idea to plan your route ahead of time. This will help you make the most of your time and avoid getting lost.

  • Arrive early. The Dallas Arboretum can get crowded, especially on weekends. If you want to avoid the crowds, try to arrive early.

  • Wear comfortable shoes. You'll be doing a lot of walking around the Dallas Arboretum, so it's important to wear comfortable shoes. You don't want to be in pain halfway through your photo shoot.

  • Bring a water bottle. It can get hot in the Dallas Arboretum, so it's a good idea to bring a water bottle with you. This will help you stay hydrated and avoid getting heat stroke.

  • Have fun! The most important thing is to relax and have fun. This is a special time, so enjoy it!

If you're looking for a beautiful place to take your engagement photos, or any photos for that matter, I highly recommend the Dallas Arboretum. It's a special place that will create memories that will last a lifetime.

  • The best time to take photos at the Dallas Arboretum is in the morning or early evening. The light is softer and more flattering during these times.

  • Be sure to check the weather forecast before you go. The Dallas Arboretum can be quite crowded, especially on weekends. If you can, try to go during the week when it's less crowded.

  • Wear comfortable shoes. You'll be doing a lot of walking, so you'll want to be comfortable.

  • Bring a water bottle and snacks. It can get hot at the Dallas Arboretum, so it's important to stay hydrated.
